Whether your life is quiet, and you are enjoying the sounds of the birds chirping or you are in the middle of a heated battle for your livelihood - don’t ever underestimate the element of surprise. There is an enemy who will never stop seeking to demoralize your efforts, or who will refrain from sieging your God-given purpose. If he can not defeat you being your enemy, he will attempt to deceive you by becoming your friend. In a world where everything is changing, where trust is at its lowest, and where we are being bombarded with news from around the world - we can not become naive to the fact that there are forces designed to oppose your every progress. I know many of you may be tired, others restless, and yet others flourishing in your years of retirement. But, I encourage you to never let your guard down. Your spiritual fortitude must be guarded in every season of your life. It only takes a small breach in your spiritual wall for the enemy to swirl his way in. So be careful, be vigilant, and know that God is always present help in times of trouble. Don’t let your guard down! Proverbs 4:23-27 23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. 24 Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. 26 Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. 27 Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil. #oneminutewithgod #soundsofmywritings #andyfernandez #iamministries

When you sit with an architect to plan for that new addition to your home you will find that there are several important structures that hold together the integrity of the building. For example; if you were to remove a pillar or a barring wall from its place you will immediately learn that you have just inherited a cost-free “man cave.”

Without realizing it, our lives can be an endless construction site where we are continually adding to our “field of dreams”. We work, we save, we sweat, and we tear up when everything comes together as planned. The one deciding factor of whether our personal paradise sustains the test of time or not; is whether we built our hopes on the fragile parcel of human ideologies or on the bedrock of God’s eternal promises.

The Bible teaches us that Christ is the cornerstone and the one who holds everything together. If you apply His instructions and build according to His plans your investment will never return to you void. Build today on the solid rock of faith in God’s Word.

Matthew 7:24-25

24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

Impenetrable, dense, and sturdy are the characteristics of stones found in the cliffs of every mountain or in the crevice of every valley. There are special moments when you and I may even have the privilege of finding that within these stones are housed precious jewels that are deemed priceless because of the process they have endured. The earth is filled with all of these precious stones, and if you just look close enough - you may very well find a “diamond in the rough”.

Have you ever looked at the mirror and considered yourself a precious stone? When taking note of all the wonders of creation, and considering all of its beauty you will find that there is nothing more precious in the sight of God than the human soul. God has considered you the most valuable of His handiwork that He would form you in His own image and likeness, and call you His child.

For take note that you are the temple of the living God, and there is no need to waste your time building cathedrals, buildings, or any other edifice for that matter. He already desires to abide in you and work wonders through you.

You are a Living Stone!

1 Peter 2:4-6

4As you come to him, the living Stone rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him 5you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

6For in Scripture it says: “ See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
