Angel in Hebrew means "messenger". Throughout generations, we have been trained to think that angels are some kind of "ghostly" entities with supernatural powers like "Casper the friendly ghost". Some worship angels, some speak to "their angels", some pray to angels. But, scripture is clear, they were created by God to assist in the divine plan of salvation and the building of God's kingdom. They are not to be worshiped but respected. Their purpose as a messenger is to assist in the message of the gospel (truth). Even though they may have diverse roles in the plan of God, they are holy and submitted to God's full authority. Some worship God, some protect, some assist, and even some battle, but all worship and obey.
