Do not Fall into the "Jonah Trap".
Some of the greatest prophets like "Jonah", struggled with one important part of God's sovereignty. His sovereign right to choose who he will show mercy and compassion to.
Sometimes as leaders we will fall into the "Jonah Trap", believing that only the strongest, holiest, righteous, and most religious will be shown mercy and given favor. Let us not judge who God reveals his mercy too. We were and are also sinners saved by his unending mercy and grace. Remember where you were when he revealed himself to you!
Exodus 33:19
And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
