Sounds of My Writings: Surgery of the Heart

During this wonderful week of Passover over 2000 years ago, a special dinner was performed at a house that had just witnessed one of the greatest miracles in human history - a man Lazarus was resurrected from the dead.

At this time a woman named Martha gave her best by honoring Christ with a glorious dinner. Lazarus gave his best by reclining at the table to marvel at the Messiah. Mary gave her best by pouring very expensive perfume on the feet of her Savior and wiping it with her glory (hair).

Judas gave his best by uttering seductive words to lure his hand into the money bag. The Jews gave their best by becoming believers of the coming new promises. And, The Pharisees gave their best by desiring to kill Lazarus, and Christ himself.

What is your best, reveals what is in your heart. Check yourself this Passover week!

John 12:1-6

Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. 3 Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, 5 “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.” 6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.......
