How beautiful are the colors in the sky? That precious day when you were revealed to humanity as a promise written by the finger of God as a sign, and signature of his everlasting love. That wonderful day when the sounds of peace were upon the earth and the birds once again flew with elegance and innocence because everything was made new again.
What was the wonder of he, whose name means rest, when he gazed upon your bend after waiting steadfastly in the raging waters? When sunlight burst through the sky, and the gift for his faithfulness was rewarded to him, the entire earth. Your colors must reflect a secret in heaven for which no man knows or understand until he is reunited with his Creator.
Why have we mocked you? Since you stood for a sign of hope and promise. That we, as a twisted generation, should use your colors for our own agenda and laugh at you with an evil smirk. We say, we will pursue that which our burning desires have thirst for, and disregard he who sits in/on the throne of heaven. Your author shall do nothing to us, they say, because you are a sign of love - so we shall make love as we understand it, and cuddle in the bed of lust and not war.
Have we forgotten, why you shined with your colors so brightly? That just moments before that dreadful day you were nowhere to be found, in the judgement of the earth. Your colors remind me.
12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”
