For some reason, I always root for the underdog, the least strong, the weak, the team, or person who has been outcasted by society because they don't meet their expectation. Isn't the love of God the same way, he continually roots for us when we are at our lowest point in life when the giants in our lives are too big, and the mountains to tall to climb. When the voices in your life tell you "you can't" when the mirror says impossible and you are always concerned what others think about you. I have never met anyone who has had an authentic encounter or experience with God and was not humbled by it. When you see the face of Christ and his character you will find that he is not only the LION but the LAMB of God. That Lamb is tender, innocent, humble, vulnerable, and kind. There are times in the life of a believer where you will sense power to conquer (like a lion), but you will also experience moments of humbling, tendering, and vulnerability (like a lamb). Remember this, you are being molded into the image and likeness of Christ. Matthew 23:11-12 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

I am not a "hyper-grace" believer where we are allowed to live our lives according to our pleasures and continually sin before God. But, I do believe that grace is the ONLY gift you can rely on when life is full of obstacles, trials, and tribulations. Sin will draw you away from God, but His grace will draw you near to him even in your imperfections. God will help you! Romans 5:20-21 The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. The Lord wants to cleanse and heal our conscience. Many wake up every day with the knowledge that God loves them. They are fully aware of God's promises and what he did for them on the cross. Yet they feel as though they have failed God in some way. Perhaps because of a past sin or failure. The Lord desires this morning to go to the depths of this problem and cure your conscience.
