  • Sounds of my Writings: Obedience Rules

God’s promises are not predicated on your talents, gifts, strengths, knowledge, or abilities. It is predicated on his integrity, love, kindness, goodness, and sovereign plan. You do not need to assist God, you just need to obey him. To many of us feel like God is taking to long to get things done. At times we will take matters into our own hands and become hasty at fulfilling God’s promises. But, scripture assures us that it is not by might, nor by power but by the Spirit of the living God that he gets things done. Build a relationship with the Holy Spirit, remain humble and sensitive to him. He will order your footsteps as you obey. Obedience is better than sacrifice. He is building character! Deuteronomy 8:1-6 1 Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. 2 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. 3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. 4 Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. 5 Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.6 Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: The Sting of Shame

There is a spiritual bruise that blemishes the heart meant to love and rejoice. It speaks as though it has authority reminding even the strong, and the righteous of their humanity and weakness. Like filthy rags it knows the secrets of its past and tries to cover, like a veil, it’s conscience. It needs to be wiped cleaned and wash in the precious blood of the Lamb of God, or it will become ineffective and unproductive to love again. It pains every day, the one who committed the act and paralysis the vision of the future. How could God use such a person it says. What would those who love me think if they only were to know my fallen nature? Thank God for a heart and conscience that is sensitive to the disciplines of God. Who grieves over sin and desires to be freed from the chains of shame. For the Almighty God, in his compassions will forgive and you shall rejoice again. Allow God to clean your conscience and remove the guilt, shame, and power of condemnation. For God’s mercy endures forever, you shall not be ashamed anymore. Isaiah 54:4-8 4 “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. 5 For your Maker is your husband the Lord Almighty is his name the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. 6 The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God. 7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion, I will bring you back. 8 In a surge of anger, I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness, I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: A Silent Shaking

Earthquakes are happing all around the world with more frequency than ever before. These earthquakes are a sign of what is happening not only in the world, but in the Church, in our communities, in our nation, and in the heart of every believer and non-believer. Whether high or low in the “Richter Scale” (richer scale) it’s happening. This silent shaking has a divine purpose, where the motives of man will either draw them closer to God or further away to their idols. Where the finger of Almighty God is already drawing a line on the sand, and asking on which side are you going to stand? This silent shaking comes with a purifying purpose. Like gold processed through a fire, all the impurities must be revealed so that you can do away with what is spotted, blemished, or wrinkled in your life. Sometimes the Lord will use the circumstances around your life, trials, pains, suffering, difficulties, persecution, tests, and the likes (Not Facebook) as an instrument of fire. You feel the sting, you feel the heat, you feel the tremors, you smell the stench but eventually, and hopefully what comes out on the other side is pure. Find it not strange if your thoughts are consuming you if you are uncomfortable if your motives are being exposed. If you do not like what you see, deal with it, and do away with it as quickly as possible. A shaking is happening, get on the right side. Repent. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: Let My People Go!

Who is like the Lord? Covered in majesty and splendor. Beautiful in all his ways, and sovereign in all he does. For the earth is full of his goodness, and sings every morning his praises. He stands at the highest mountain and summons those who would hear his voice to worship. When nearly a million beloved people tasted the bitter bonds of slavery and were given an invitation to exit the gates of their oppressors only one thing was asked of them, worship. A promise and decree would accompany them into a free and fruitful land, but it required one authentic act and lesson, worship. In your prayer, worship. In your service, worship. In your singing, worship. In your living, worship. At your job, worship. In your marriage, worship. Worship the Lord with all your heart and soul, for it is the ultimate expression of love and the first commandment. Exodus 9:1-6 1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and tell him that this is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘Let My people go, so that they may worship Me. 2But if you refuse to let them go, and you continue to restrain them, 3then the hand of the LORD will bring a severe plague on your livestock in the field on your horses, donkeys, camels, herds, and flocks. 4But the LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt so that no animal belonging to the Israelites will die.’” 5The LORD set a time, saying, “Tomorrow the LORD will do this in the land.” 6And the next day the LORD did just that. All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the Israelites died. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

Men, let your covenant with God always reflect, permeate, and shadow your marriage. Remember, that you were called to be a son before you were called to be a husband. Godly men arise, God wants you, this world needs you, and your wife and family are waiting. #andyfernandez #imministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: Do Not Run From The Pain

Suffering is the tool necessary in a master surgeon's hand. It permeates into the veins and arteries of the human heart and soul causing it to strengthen its muscle and show what it’s made of. Suffering is not a curse but a sign of your victory. It is only given to those who still can feel, who has a heart of flesh and who can still shed tears. It is the enemy of the “harden heart” and is designated to the strong. The partaking of suffering is glorious and produces contriteness, meekness, humility, Godliness, gratefulness, steadfastness, and discernment. It whines out the corruption of the world and sets you on the right posture, on your knees. It is the exercise of the prayerful and a glimpse into the heart and suffering of Christ. Don’t run from the pain, it is your glory and will transform you into a valiant spotless warrior. 1 Peter 4:12-19 12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” 19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries
