In America, and throughout the world, it seems as though temples are being erected as quickly as they are being demolished. Every day it is heard throughout the Christian news that another place of worship is being sold or closed down. Jesús once said, “destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again”. But what temple did he really mean, since there has not been a temple in Jerusalem since 70AD? Spending millions of dollars and getting into insurmountable debts to beautify or legitimize ministries was not what Christ died for. He didn’t die to rebuild a temple made by human hands but for a people called his own (his Church). Today many have confused “Church” for a “sanctuary”. The Church was never supposed to be identified by a building but rather by the content of their faith in Christ. I have joyfully grown through many failures, defeats, and mistakes. Even though my tears wiped clean my face, I am so thankful that Christ gave me an opportunity to repent and fear his name. Many young ministers today have become wise in their own eyes and I grieve for the many that they Pastor. I’ve recently was aware of a Church in South Florida who invited an Imam from the Muslim faith to preach at their so-called Christian Church, they also have become enticed by the doctrine of “universalism” where they are teaching that Christ is not the only way and that he is just a metaphor or many Christ’s, and this “Easter” they are inviting everyone in the Church to get tattoos. Is this for real people? I am completely sickened to my stomach.......What in the world is this world coming to? Brother and sisters, it is time to take a solid look at the moral compass of your life and align it with Christ and his gospel. Wake up people, wake up! Jesús we pray. If your Church is not preaching Christ and the Cross take your family the heck out of there and run for your life! Galatians 1:6-9 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel 7 which is really no gospel at all. When invited to follow Christ, many of us struggle and suffer from excuses. We find reasons to follow or not follow Christ in the manner we believe appropriate. Following Christ takes discipline and that is why the first believers were called “disciples”. It takes a lot of character to follow rather than to lead, in a generation where everyone believes themselves, leaders. The perfect image of a spiritually mature individual is found in the image and likeness of a child. For our pride and arrogance in the faith are masked by deeds, not by character. When we as a generation have substituted the government, science, medicine, and human reasoning to be the answer to our problems, we have forfeited the Lordship and power of the living God. A powerless generation is one who is "unbelieving/doubt" and "perverse/twisted". These institutions are human in nature and are instruments in the hands of a mighty God. Continue to believe for the miraculous by believing in the awesomeness of God. He is able to perform miracles!
