Music was never designed to entertain the ears of man but rather to minister to the heart of God. One of the greatest and most precious acts that will be performed by the angelic hosts and saints alike is the ultimate expression of eternal worship. Too many times, without realizing, we attempt to entertain and/or participate into sing-alongs that are designed to percolate crowds. Look around you, see all the moving parts? It just seems like so many times in life things are spinning out of control. Some of the religious sectors may say “that this is not good”, others may say “it’s the enemy of your souls”. But, if you look close enough you will find that in the midst of all that chaos, there is a master carpenter who is in control. He is orchestrating all the moving parts that you are unaware of. My beautiful wife always says that whenever I start a building project everything looks “messy, out of order, and chaotic”. She would even question embarking into the “unknown”. But, to the one who has a vision, to the master architect, and to the master-builder it all makes sense.” God is that way. There is beauty in your chaos, just look closer and trust the process. What is your mountain? What is it, that you must conquer? What seems overwhelming? What is obstructing your view? Whatever your mountain is, you and I must be able to stir up enough faith to speak to it. Sometimes speaking to it is your first step. If you remain silent (mute), it will be your continual course of action. All God requires us to do is, embrace a small amount of untainted faith in His power and Word, to shake the foundations of that which seems unmovable or insurmountable. You can not judge the world and those around you by simple human standards. It is important that you do not allow your spiritual lenses to be fogged by a judge-mental spirit. The error of the Pharisees was not that they didn’t love God. I would vouch that they were painfully jealous to the point of violence. But rather, their error was found in a critical, judgemental, and conceited spirit. They were blinded by their own human standards and interpretation of scripture. Don’t be conceited, let us not be pharisaic and miss the grace of God. The most powerful tools of the enemy of your soul are lies, deception, and manipulation. These are the languages and instruments Satan will use in your life to cause you to fight the wrong battle and sabotage your progress in Christ. He will camouflage himself as a ghostly figure leaving behind heartache, brokenness, and destruction. He will convince you with thoughts of failure and fill your lives up with distractions. There is pure and beautiful jealousy found in relationships between a husband and a wife, a father and a son, and God with his creation. It is not a vile nor brut emotion, but one that is found in earnest desire of companionship and excitement. It chases after the heart and attention of that which is lost, so that he or she may find safe haven in his communion and peace. As a father and friend, God is jealous for us.
