  • Sounds of my Writings: Faithful Prayer

When you come into the presence of the living God to pray you must know, understand, and believe that he is. He is present, he is alive, he is your father, he is your friend, he is your confidant, your maker, your Savior, your healer, your provider, and the lifter of your head. He is lovingly sovereign over all things and has authority over all. Pray child of God, for he knows and listens even before you utter a Word. You may say “why pray than if he knows all things?”. For you were unaware child, that your words are the seed of faith that causes heaven and earth to unite and collide. You have not, because you ask not. Hebrews 11:1-6 1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3 By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. 4 By faith, Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith, he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead. 5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: Be A Blessing

Do not let your wealth become your curse. For remember, in humility, where you were in the midst of your poverty. Who did you cry to? and whose arms were stretched out to assist you? It was the Lord God, your helper. Do not despise those in humble circumstances. Do not allow arrogance to contaminate your heart, nor pride your thoughts. God himself will humble the proud, and exalt the humble. It is he who is your dwelling place, and he who saved you. You were blessed so that you may bless others. Do not use the same hands that were made for healing, to hurt others. And do not allow for bitterness and sweetness to coincide on your lips. Love others, in the manner you desire for them to love you. Be a blessing. 1 Peter 3:8-12 8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. 11 They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: A Coin Toss Away

The “hustle”, the “rat race”, whatever it takes to “get yours”, and your belly full! We are living in a generation when honor, respect, values, and Godly truth are a “coin toss” away. Like Judas, a man possessing all that Christ came to offer him and his family, he sold his “eternal inheritance” for thirty shekels of silver. He forfeited his apostleship, his friendship, and his reputation for a few months wages. Esau, the strong and valiant hunter who was the firstborn of his family, sold his “firstborn inheritance” for a bowl of lentil soup. Where was his spiritual spine and fortitude? A man full of “appetite” yet “potential”, who was loved by his father, morally fainted at the need for physical gratification. Don’t forfeit the priceless promise of salvation, and sonship for a coin or bowl of soup! Genesis 25:29-34 29 Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. 30 He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom.) 31 Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.” 32 “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?” 33 But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Advice with Pastor Andy Fernandez

Would you ever hire someone who you knew was going to betray you? What if the plan of the Lord was to use you to usher God's love, truth, and mercy to that individual all while knowing the final fate? Well, Jesus did. #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Advice with Pastor Andy Fernandez

The “secret place” is where your relationship with Christ is defined. It is the place where sermons are birthed, where worship is found, where vision is clear, where tears are shed, where God’s voice is loud, where prayers are heard, where your sonship becomes real. Invite God to your secret place. Don’t leave him at the public altar. #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Reflections: Touch a Life

Brothers and sisters in Christ, it is time to get out of your sanctuaries and seats and take your anointing, Word, and love to the highways and byways, to the streets and to the schools, to your workplace, and to the place you serve. This is no longer a time for luke-warmness. The battle is becoming to thick for you to remain in your air-conditioned gatherings - catering solely to your comforting needs. There are souls being lost and lives being shattered. Touch a life today! God is giving you and I a chance, don’t blow it! #touchalife #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of My Writings: Triumph

God will turn this around, and good will triumph over evil! How do you make sense, of tragedy? What can you say, to the troubled heart? How can you see light, in the tunnel of darkness? What kind of answer is there, for the despaired? You are more than a patriot, more than an American, more than a nationalist, more a politician, more than an Anglo, more than an African, more than a Latino, more than a pastor, more than a teacher, more than a preacher, more than a prophet, you are a Child of God. Remove your title and offer your heart through love, love with hugs, love with presence, love with sympathy, love with attention, love with selfless acts, love with patience, love in forgiveness, love beyond your limitations, and fear. Get out of your comfort zone and love in truth! Love never fails! 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hope, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. #soundsofmywritings #andyfernandez #oneminutewithgod #iamministries

  • The Sounds of my Writings: A Time Of Prayer

My heart and soul longs for the living God. For one moment in your holy presence is better than a thousand elsewhere. Nothing can satisfy my thirst unless you give me to drink of your loving truth and presence. Where would I be if your Grace did not find me, where would I be if your mercy did not wash me, where would I be. For your Spirit searches the hidden things in all men, the secrets of the heart and mind are not hidden from your light. You are almighty, and you I revere. I humble myself before you so that you may wash my sins away. Allow me to pray for those who are perishing before your mercy seat, and give me the confidence to come before your throne of grace. May my utterance come from a contrite and merciful heart, and be found acceptable before your ears. Forgive us all, your people. Cleanse your house and send your spirit to the heart of every believing and listening ear. That they may return to you and be found in you in these last hours. Move in the heart of this nation, and tear down the strongholds that are impeding your Holy Spirit. Forgive us when we have quenched your heart when we have turned our face to other idols. We repent as a nation, and as your sons and daughters. Move upon the face of the earth and declare your majesty. Let not your Words become silent any longer. Who are we as your masterpiece, that we would curse your name, and mock your presence, and allow sin to desecrate your altar. Lord forgive us and give us another chance. Strengthen your holy ones that they may proclaim your truth and glory. Restore your bride and not forget her. We humble ourselves before you. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen, Amen, Amen. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: The Call Is Still Real

What will it cost to follow Christ? What will it cost, be considered a disciple? Is there still a price to pay to please God? To come to the full knowledge and love of God, and walk with him will require that you and I come to the end of ourselves. The people and things you and I most treasure in life, our traditions, our friends, our personal dreams, our resources, our strength, our comforts, our philosophies, and even our will - all must be given to receive all that God has for you and me. Allowing Christ to be Lord of your life requires complete surrender and unblemished faith. Trusting in his sovereign goodness in the valley of decisions, and crossing the threshold of pleasure verse godliness is the price you and I must pay to remain faithful to the call to “follow him”. Luke 14:25-33 25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters yes, even their own life such a person cannot be my disciple. 27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. 28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’ 31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. 33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: The Fear of the Lord

The fear of the Lord, where is it? The eternal judge who knows the motives of the soul and hearts of men. The one who sits as King over all, his throne established at the plumb line of eternity and earth, sovereignly exposing all that is hidden. Who will stand before him, or sit at his side? Don’t you know the eternal, the one whose voice is deeper than the sounds of a thousand thunders? You run and hide your face from rain and lightning, but how about from him who is great and stands brilliantly as a burning fire. Is there anyone who would raise his/her voice before him, for he silences the tongues of men and establishes his righteous ones as stars in the midst of a dark sky. How great is our God! For he will judge the living and the dead with just scales. 1 Peter 4:1-6 1Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. 2As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you. 5But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body but live according to God in regard to the spirit. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries
