  • Reflections: What Happens

What happens when there is no more shame, in sinning? Where there is no difference between morality and immorality, no right from wrong, no condemnation, no God, no law, no judge, no heaven, no hell, no vigilance, no decency, no innocence, no good, no bad. How does a society like this survive? #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: Stewardship

Lord, all knowledge, understanding, and wisdom comes from you. Set my feet upon a path that will give you glory in all that you have set my heart to do. Let not my hands labor in vain, but give my work success so that your name may be glorified. Show me your ways, for I know not your hidden secrets. But, reveal them to me so that I may be a good steward of all that you have given me. For what good is it for a man to gain the world and loss his soul? Or a man to be given gifts and talents to only dispose of them? In everything, and in all times let my life display your masterpiece and your handiwork. Help me be a good steward of your rewards. 1 Peter 4:7-11 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Reflections: As Shift

There is a shift in the battle cry. Wars are not won with chariots and horses but on the altar of prayer. The posture of a true soldier of God is found on his or her knees. There is no greater weapon in the life of a believer than to humble yourself before the living God, with sincere tears and utterance. It can literally change the world! Corinthians 10:4-6 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete. #soundsofmywritings #andyfernandez #oneminutewithgod #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: The Garden Walk

There is only one hope, and one option for all humanity to heal. It will require a divine intervention of heaven coming down to earth, and changing our lives. Any other option is temporal but what God does, he does eternally. Walk with us again oh God for you are the way, the truth, and the life. Bring us to the Garden again. Zechariah 2:10-13 10 Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the Lord. 11 “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. 12 The Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land and will again choose Jerusalem. 13 Be still before the Lord, all mankind because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.” #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: The Greatest Miracle

The greatest miracle you and I will ever experience in heaven and earth is the “salvation of a soul”. When a sinner has been washed in the precious blood of Christ, and all their sins have been forgiven and forgotten. When a newness of heart arises, and the thoughts and senses of man have been transformed by the power of God’s hand. When his everlasting love permeates our nature so that we could love others the way he loves us. Like the breath of God entering Adam’s nostrils, so God wants to breathe his eternal life (spirit-ruah) into you and I. To abide in this human vessel making us holy and righteous forever. Will you surrender your hurts, pain, sins, and past to receive the newness of life through Christ? He is able to take your mess, and give birth to a new man with a new purpose and new beginning. • Sounds of my Writings: A Friend

There was a man called grace who was beloved and devoted like no other to Christ. Many of his companions envied his proximity and questioned his intimacy with the one who would save. He was the standard of a friend who sticks closer than a brother. And, he would behold the greatest responsibility to care for the very vessel that ushered in the world's salvation. He was young, quiet of spirit, and meek, and he would lean against the very chest of God to hear the sounds and cares of his heartbeat. He is one among a thousand and fearlessly stood at the plumb line between heaven and earth. He knew something the rest didn’t know, the secret prayers of him who would change the world forever. His name was John (grace), and he would defy death so that the final chapter of this story would be told. John 19:26-29 26 When Jesus, therefore, saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: Who is in Command?

Who is in command? and why do they speak that way as though they are praying? They shout boastful words and even point their fingers facing up when their knees should be bowing down. They believe that screaming is a means of getting my attention, not knowing that a simple whisper in humility echos louder than a thousand trumpets in my ear. Ain’t I the one who knows the thoughts and needs of men even before they ask? For I stood upon the face of the waters and commanded earth and it’s function. I have given you commandments for living, and you have not followed. I have commanded armies and you have not surrendered. I have commanded love, and you have hated. Am I a genie, a magician, or puppet that you can command a false blessing upon your dry land. Didn’t I say “if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked ways than I will hear from heaven and shall heal their land”? So why is my house so desolate with pride, and the prayers of the mighty grown silent and dim even while many pray? For I encourage you to light the lamp with fresh oil and trim it’s wick so it can burn brightly again. Know that I have attempted to get your attention, while you have tried to provoke mine. For confidence in knowing that I am near, and not far and I am the commander of the host of army, so neither I am for you or against you. My will shall be done. So, Follow My Commands. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: The Tent Poem

It was in that first room under the fiery stars where the man heard my voice again. I laid there with him - echoing to step out and look, I’m coming again. I no longer only dwell in the vast lands or in the mountains above, or in the deepest valleys. But, I stepped down from the highest heavens to have communion with him in that place he made in a hurry. He found protection in you while losing comfort in me. So I spoke to Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, and even my servant Moses to tell them let’s meet with me. A small draped sanctuary where man sought me in quiet. I called it a “tent of meeting” but they called it a house of worries. Didn’t you know I wanted to meet with you at your home called ohel. That mobile structure that incapsulated your dreams, where all your anxieties at my presence felt. Meet with me I asked, and I will share with you my plans. But he said how can I, I am still building my mishcan. Mobile, agile and shaded it needed to be. So that man does not trust in its foundation, but trust in me. I’m forever moving, and so they learned to move with me. A tent of meeting, a place for him and me. The tent of meeting #soundsofmywritings #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Sounds of my Writings: Eternity in Thirty-Three Years.

Jesus fulfilled in thirty-three years of life what every human being will ever achieve, suffer, or have to endure throughout the annals of mankind. There is absolutely nothing you and I can ever fathom or conjure up that is absent of the Lord’s witness and/or testimony. Imagine the weight and value of the Cross that every sin past, present, and future would be met with mercy from he who was God and man. Trust in Christ, he has great compassion. John 21:24-25 24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true. 25Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. Hebrew 4:14-16 14Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are yet he did not sin. 16Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. #soundsofmywritings #oneminutewithgod #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Reflections: Let Us Humble Ourselves

Let us humble ourselves before the Lord, and fear his presence. For judgment and mercy is his crown, and no one shall shake the foundation of his throne. Revere the Lord, and do not take him lightly, for he shall judge the intentions and motives of the heart with perfect scales. Don’t you know that there is nothing secret in his eyes and ears, and all things are made known to him? #andyfernandez #iamministries

  • Quotes by Pastor Andy Fernandez

"The poor will always love you for what you give them, but not necessarily for who you are. Your testimony of Christ is reflected in how you live your life privately and publicly on the mission field." #andyfernandez #iamministries
