It is my opinion that "The Belt of Truth" is the most important spiritual armor that a Christian can possess. The belt of truth is what holds all the other armor in place, and give relevant strength and power to resist and aggressively tackle the works of the enemy. Without "truth" our faith is distorted, our peace is limited, our salvation becomes harder to believe, our sword becomes dull, and our breastplate will be warped. Those who have eyes will see. And those who have ears will hear. If you look around you, if you tune into the media coverages, if you simply visit some of the local Churches, stop by your small businesses, or visit your neighbors' house, you will be amazed to find that demonic activity is very prominent. They do not tangibly manifest as a "horny" red caped entity. But, are found in the subtle behaviors, conducts, and doctrines, embedded within a worldly system, that "sells" you dreams for truth. If we were to conduct surveys about the physical, mental, and spiritual condition of families throughout different cultures, we would be utterly amazed at the percentage of illnesses, pride, traditional influences, idolatry, mental & physical handicaps, wicked, unclean, and self-indulging conditions of citizens throughout the world. Demonic activity (demons), clearly are devising strategies and assisting in plans to preach a system of peace, wealth, prosperity, oneness, without Christ. Jesus has become another commodity, rather than the Son of the Living God. Another traditional entity, rather than Savior and Lord. These influences and the veiling of his deity thwarts the sovereignty of our God and is in direct line with the opposing forces of demons which want to hinder his work. Take into account this question "even as believers, are we promoting and selling a ministry, the name of a Church, the book of a man, or are we promoting & proclaiming Christ?" It is clear that after reviewing this wonderful outline of information, that the influence and existence of demons are prevalent in the world. The question though still stands, whether "a Christian" or a "Spirit-filled Christian" can be possessed by a demon(s). It is my contention, that in order to try to address this question we need to define what is a Christian, and what is a Spirit-filled Christian? A Christian can be defined as an individual who believes in his/her heart, and confesses with his/her mouth, that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that he resurrected from the dead. Romans 10 A Spirit-Filled Christian can be defined as a Christian (above), who has been baptized (immersed) and filled with the Holy Spirit, and who now has the Spirit of Christ dwelling in him/her. Acts 1:5 (i added some additional scripture below) It is hard to fathom that Christ would share his dominion with a demon spirit(s) if the believer has been filled with the spirit of Christ - and Christ has taken residence in his/her heart. For it is clear, that Satan himself was cast out of heaven when his great rebellion took place. It is important to understand that every Christian should desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit, in order to resolve some of the controversies regarding demon possession. I do believe that Christians can be influenced, and at times assist in acts of rebellion against God's work - just ask Judas & Peter. But, considering that these acts were performed prior to the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I must contend that it is hard to fathom that the Holy Spirit would reside and make his home in the heart of a believer and share his residence with a demon spirit. Just take into account the word "unoccupied" in the scripture Matthew 12:43-45. The evil spirit found rest in the home, which was unoccupied, not necessarily in order, or cleaned up. Food for thought. Here are just a few scriptures which is rich; Acts 1:5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." Luke 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" John 20:22 And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. John 14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:15 When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, Acts 8:16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 8:17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 11:16 Then I remembered what the Lord had said: 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' Acts 19:2 and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit." And the list goes on...

It is important to consider that "angel" means messenger - before attempting to depict the totality of Satan's deception on many. Satan is considered a "messenger" of light. Messengers always have a message, and engraved within the message of "light" is the edification of self, self freedoms, self-indulgences, self-power, self-centeredness, self-sufficiency, self-government, self-purpose, self-forgiveness, even to the point where you empower yourself to even forgive "God" - etc. Self-pride is rooted in the very center of this doctrine, and you could see it clearly in society, in cultures, in businesses, and even if looked closely, within "oneself". This message of "light" encourages your deepest emotions, "if you feel good" it must be right. It is a very subtle doctrine which sometimes wakes us up in the early hours of the day, and asks "so what can I do, to make myself feel good today" rather than "what can I do to obey God today". It becomes a doctrine of "me" rather than of Jesus Christ and dying to self. The message of Satan never directs you to "the light of the World" (Jesus Christ) but emphasizes greatly the empowerment of self, and its freedoms and government. Insight of the Word of God, and the great outlines being reviewed in this study, it helps me consider one of Satan's strategies in Scripture. He (satan) is known as the "tempter". The temptation is luring away, by enticing the fleshly or weak desires of man. If there is something weak in a believer's life, Satan is certainly seeking for it. For the scripture says 1 Peter 5:8 "8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." As believers, it is important to work out our salvation with "fear and trembling" and to be alert (vigil) at all times. Pride, self-indulgence, me's, and the I's, the self-centered, the self-sufficiency, the vengeance, and the criticism against our brothers and even our enemies are just some of the ways that we exalt ourselves above God and his Word. God has given us the beauty of his Word, and His Son to reveal to us the importance of humility and obedience. God speaks of obedience as an act of love toward him and his sovereignty, and humility as a way of life to the believer. Understanding that everything is created by him (God), and for him (God), is key in embracing the unique ways that God uses all things for the good of those who love him. If God wants to use a donkey, a raven, a prophet, or an angel to accomplish his work of salvation and the glorification of his Son, we must humbly respect and rejoice in that. Insight of the totality of God's majesty we are just part of that grand plan and the angels also play an important part. God's total sovereignty is our focus, and not swearing by, or exalting above, but respecting his creative hand and everything in his creation can help in the uniqueness of -how he holds "everything" together. Angel in Hebrew means "messenger". Throughout generations, we have been trained to think that angels are some kind of "ghostly" entities with supernatural powers like "Casper the friendly ghost". Some worship angels, some speak to "their angels", some pray to angels. But, scripture is clear, they were created by God to assist in the divine plan of salvation and the building of God's kingdom. They are not to be worshiped but respected. Their purpose as a messenger is to assist in the message of the gospel (truth). Even though they may have diverse roles in the plan of God, they are holy and submitted to God's full authority. Who could explain the totality of our eternal God? Who could define or dictate his immense nature, purpose, and will? Who could go into the chambers of his presence, and correct or question his wisdom? For the Word of God says in 1 Corinthians 13 "Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known". Just ask Job where was he when God created the heavens and the earth? Or John when he received a new "revelation" (unveiling) of God's nature. Trying to completely define God and the trinity in some analytical way, limits his existence and his eternal character. I have learned that right when I thought I have embraced the totality of life and my understanding of my faith in God, he reveals another side of his eternal nature. Many have tried to explain the beauty of the trinity by analogies that are depicted in nature, physics, and even intellectual philosophies. But, one thing I know, "the righteous shall live by faith" for faith is the substance that pleases God and the substance that will ultimately shield you from your own pride, intellect, and or the darts of the enemy. #soundsofmywritings #andyfernandez #iamministries

The Spirit of God is God. He carries his wisdom, his characteristics, his likeness, his thoughts, his purpose, and his power. Receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit is necessary to labor effectively both spiritually and physically to do God's will and purpose (establish his kingdom). Will, as it may, but God himself will not fail in establishing his righteous kingdom in man and on earth. If peace is required to maintain "unity", so be it. If "holy anger" is required to correct effectively, so be it. If spiritual warfare and war must be unleashed to accomplish his purpose, so be it. God and his Holy Spirit, with Christ by their side is not small by our own understanding - that he could be contained in a box, Church, program, or paradigm. Hallelujah, I am thankful for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is certainly a person and indwells in the lives of all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. His gifts, roles, and relationship to a "Christian" are vital for the work of the ministry and the walk for which we all will give an account. Without him, it is impossible to live an effective, and holy life in Christ. And, he is one of the reasons why Christ ascended into the highest heavens, so that all may be comforted, counseled, and filled by him. For his personified presence is real as he teaches, witnesses, convicts, regenerates, direct, commands, intercedes, guides, and performs miracles in the life of the believer and the corporate life of the Church. For he prays for you today, continually before the presence of the father, with groaning to see you achieve your place in Christ. Romans 8:26 "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. Many of the differences that we find throughout the history of Christianity has been formed by the interpretation of "What is Truth". For denying the deity of the Holy Spirit can be considered blasphemy, and we must all be careful as stewards and students not to diminish, belittle, nor add or take away from the truths and works of Almighty God. There is a place in the study of his Word where revelation, inspiration, and unwavering truth is found in "balance" to the nature of God. It is not the kind of truth that confuses, but a truth that frees us to indulge in his nature, character, and Word. Overstating, or elevating the Holy Spirit can also be dangerous, for we find that many of the issues found in the pentecostal and charismatic movement of the early 70's led many astray from the Gospel and opened a world of problems to "new revelation", or additional scriptures. There isn't new revelation aside form his Word, for we only live by everything that proceeds from the "mouth of God" and not the mouth of "man".
